Terms worth knowing

Host-read mention
A sponsor line read aloud by the podcast host inside the episode itself, rather than a separately produced ad.
Episode page
The web page published alongside each podcast episode, where your link sits for as long as the episode stays online.
Partner-labelled profile
A standalone page introducing your organisation, produced with you as part of the Full Shore Partnership.
Who these placements fit

Built for businesses and groups rooted along the southwest shore

Storefront-style workspace used to represent Verdun shops and cafés

Verdun shops and cafés

Wellington Street and Église storefronts wanting a plain line in front of neighbours who already read us weekly.

Desk and microphone setup representing a Nuns' Island professional service

Nuns' Island services

Studios, clinics and professional offices reaching residents across the bridge without a citywide budget.

Production equipment representing LaSalle and Côte-Saint-Paul trades coverage

LaSalle and Côte-Saint-Paul trades

Contractors and small manufacturers whose work is genuinely local and whose story fits a podcast segment.

Mixing board used to represent community group segments on the podcast

Community groups

Aqueduct-path clubs, associations and fundraisers with a specific date or cause to mention, not an ongoing sales pitch.

What is not included

Where the honest line sits

None of our placements include editorial coverage, a promised news story, or any influence over how our reporters cover Verdun, Nuns' Island, LaSalle, Côte-Saint-Paul or the Aqueduct path. A sponsor mention is clearly separated from our news content, both in the newsletter layout and inside each podcast episode. We also do not sell display banners, pop-ups or homepage takeovers — the three placements above are the entire advertising offer.

How we keep it consistent

The same review and format, every run

Every placement goes through the same short review before it runs: we check the wording against our house style, confirm the link works, and send you the final copy for a look before the first edition or episode. Podcast mentions are read from a short script you approve in advance, so what airs matches what you signed off. We do not promise a set number of readers, listeners or enquiries — reach figures vary from week to week, and we would rather describe the format honestly than attach a number to it.

Quick answers

Before you write in

Do you cover areas outside Verdun and the southwest shore?

Our reporting and placements focus on Verdun, Nuns' Island, LaSalle, Côte-Saint-Paul and the Aqueduct path.

Can I choose which newsletter editions I run in?

We schedule Riverside Notice for the next two available Thursday editions once copy is approved.

Who writes the podcast mention script?

We draft it from your notes and send it for your approval before recording.

Is a written contract part of the Full Shore Partnership?

Yes — booking details, deadlines and the closing report are confirmed in writing; see our advertising terms.

Scheduling

Lead time and access

Newsletter placements need copy approved by the Tuesday before the first Thursday edition. Podcast mentions need a script approved at least five business days before recording, since our episodes are taped in batches. Full Shore Partnership bookings begin with a short planning call to line up the six-week run against our editorial calendar, so the earlier you write in the more choice you have over start dates.
